There will be new relatives in The Addams Family on March 8. The hit musical is set to welcome Heidi Blickenstaff as Alice Beineke, Adam Grupper as Mal Beineke, Brad Oscar as Fester, Rachel Potter as Wednesday Addams and Jesse Swenson as Lucas Beineke.
As previously announced, Tony Award winner Roger Rees will replace Nathan Lane in the role of Gomez Addams opposite Bebe Neuwirth, who continues in her role as Morticia Addams. Also continuing in the roles they originated are Zachary James as Lurch, Adam Riegler as Pugsley Addams and Jackie Hoffman as Grandma.
Blickenstaff has appeared on Broadway in [title of show] and The Little Mermaid. Grupper’s Broadway credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Wild Party, Guys and Dolls, The Secret Garden, City of Angels and Into The Woods. Oscar received a Tony nomination for his role in The Producers and appeared on Broadway in Spamalot, Jekyll & Hyde and Aspects of Love. Potter’s stage credits include Wicked, The Wild Party and High School Musical. Swenson was seen on Broadway in Spring Awakening, off-Broadway in Veritas and on TV in Mercy, Army Wives and Gossip Girl.
Original Addams Family cast members Nathan Lane, Kevin Chamberlin, Terrence Mann, Carolee Carmello, Krysta Rodriguez and Wesley Taylor will play their final performances on March 6 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
